| The picture of the car with a sticker on it is of the Island of Sylt - on the German/Danish border. I went there in 1993 and blacked out in the sea and nearly drowned before being swept into the beach over some rocks - shredding part of my chest. Otherwise a lovely place for a holiday! |

| Catching up |
| Just catching up with your progress. Sorry to see the car let you down in May and needed a new radiator! I doubt that the viscous coupling on the fan (Lüfterkupplung) had anything to do with it actually. The plastic housings on the side of the E38/E39 radiators are known weak points and they often break where yours did. Bad luck though! Nice to see 100,000 miles too! | I'm surprised that you managed to get 250 litres of gear down to 33Kg. I'm Looking forward to the summit photo. I expect you to look just as fit and happy as you looked at 5700 metres in Mexico.
